The bridge to Edisto - new & old

Sometime during the early 90s, a new bridge was built from the mainland onto Edisto Island.

The old bridge is gone, but many still remember it fondly. I did cross that old bridge a few times as a child, but unfortunately have no memory of it. As I understand, the old bridge was taken out to sea and dropped into the ocean to create an artificial reef. I'm sure it's surrounded with marine life now. All that's left of the old bridge now is just a part of the original road on pilings:
